Utica Public Library Seeks Donations for Technology Expansion

Staff Report / Uticalocal.org

The Utica Public Library in Utica, NY, marked its history with the laying of its cornerstone on May 3, 1903. The library officially opened its doors to the public on December 12, 1904. Described at the time as "As handsome a library building as any community could wish to boast," the library has since developed an extensive collection that includes a variety of information sources and technologies.

Currently, the library is looking to enhance its services through technology and is inviting donations to support its #mohawkvalleygives campaign. Donations can be made at [this link](https://tinyurl.com/3dkz3zju).

In addition, the library has been selected to participate in a matching fund opportunity through the Gabriel, Joseph and Lila Mandour Karam Fund. For every dollar donated up to $4,000, the fund will provide a dollar-for-dollar match to support technology-related projects at the Utica Public Library.
