**High Wind Warning Issued for Multiple Counties in New York**

February 16, 2025 — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Binghamton, NY, has issued a High Wind Warning for several counties in central New York. The warning remains in effect until 7 PM EST on Monday, February 17, 2025.

**Details of the Warning:**

- **Areas Affected**: Southern Cayuga, Onondaga, Tompkins, Madison, Southern Oneida, Cortland, Chenango, Otsego, Tioga, Broome, Delaware, and Sullivan Counties. This includes cities such as Syracuse, Ithaca, Utica, Binghamton, and Monticello.

- **Wind Conditions**: Sustained west winds are expected at 20 to 30 mph, with gusts reaching up to 60 mph.

- **Timeline**: High winds began earlier on February 16 and will continue until the evening of February 17.
