Free Medicare Workshop Offered in Geneseo

**Lifespan Offers Free Medicare Workshop in Geneseo**
Residents of Livingston County, New York, will have the opportunity to attend a free workshop titled *"Medicare Made Easier"* to better understand Medicare and its associated plans. The workshop will be held on three different dates in 2024 for participants' convenience:
- **Friday, March 7, at 10:00 AM**
- **Tuesday, April 29, at 1:00 PM**
- **Monday, June 16, at 10:00 AM**
The sessions will take place at the **Government Building, 6 Court Street, Geneseo**.
This workshop, presented by Lifespan, will cover a range of topics related to Medicare, including:
- The four parts of Medicare (A, B, C, and D) and their associated costs
- Differences between Medicare Advantage and Medigap plans
- Understanding HMO and PPO plans
- NYS EPIC program (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage)
- Working at age 65 or older while enrolled in Medicare
- Open enrollment periods and potential penalties
- Extra help and low-income subsidies

Services such as interpretation and other accommodations are available upon early request. The event space is fully wheelchair accessible. To arrange interpretation services, call **585-244-8400, extension 9**.
The program is funded in part by the New York State Office for the Aging, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the U.S. Administration for Community Living, and the Livingston County Office for the Aging.
This is a no-cost, informational class with no sales pitches. Whether you are new to Medicare, working past age 65, or preparing for retirement, this workshop is designed to help you navigate your Medicare options.
