Mahamat Abdoulaye, a senior at Rincon High School in Tucson, has been awarded the Jim & Robbie Dick Social Justice Memorial Scholarship of $5,000. Mahamat was recognized for his exceptional leadership skills and commitment to social justice. He has demonstrated his dedication through mentoring students, organizing workshops in the community, and serving on the Metropolitan Education Commission Youth Advisory Council. Additionally, Mahamat volunteers with the Iskashitaa Refugee Network in Tucson, showing his passion for empowering communities and advocating for positive social change. The Tucson Unified School District commends Mahamat for his outstanding achievements and encourages him to continue inspiring others.
