**Tucson JCC Offers Aging + Social Connections Education Series**

TUCSON, AZ - This fall, the Tucson Jewish Community Center (JCC) is hosting an Aging + Social Connections Education Series aimed at older adults and their adult children. The program features two sessions on aging and social connections, starting on Tuesday, October 15, and continuing on October 22, from 2 to 3:30 PM.

The first session, "Independence and Aging: Myths and Facts," will take place on October 15. The second session, "Social Connections: The Importance of New and Long-Lasting Friendships," is scheduled for October 22.

Following these sessions, a new three-part Relationship and Health Education Series will begin on October 29 and run on November 5 and 12, from 1:15 to 3:30 PM. This series will assist participants in evaluating current relationships, exploring ways to find new friends, and developing plans to enhance long-standing relationships.

The schedule for the three-part series includes:

- October 29: "Taking Inventory of Your Social Network"

- November 5: "Look Up, Down, and All Around"

- November 12: "Your Plan of Action and Getting Started"

Linda Travis, Psy. D, Director of Healthy Aging at the Tucson JCC, will lead both series. She brings over 30 years of experience in the health and aging sectors as a clinician, scholar, and educator.

Participants are encouraged to join and engage in a supportive environment as they explore important topics related to aging and social connections. For more information, visit bit.ly/healthyagingtucson.
