Staff Report / Tucsonlocal.org

Tucson Police Department responded to a mental health crisis in downtown Tucson when a woman was found standing on the edge of a parking garage. Police Sergeant Sachs arrived on the scene and spent over an hour talking with her. As a result of his support, the woman decided to step back from the ledge. After their conversation, the two shared breakfast, and she was connected with a treatment facility for further help.

The Pima County crisis line is available 24/7 at 520-622-6000 for anyone in need of support.
