The Midtown Utica Community Center in Utica, NY, hosted a Day of the Dead workshop led by Vartan Poghosian, which concluded yesterday. The event, supported by CNY Arts Grants for Regional Arts and Cultural Engagement, provided participants with insights into Día de Muertos and the pottery-making process. Students created clay skeletons, pots, and other items during the workshop. Their finished work will be available for viewing after it has been fired in a kiln.
