Auburn Alumni Share College Insights with Students

Auburn High School’s Counseling Department invited recent Auburn alumni to speak about their college experiences before the holiday break. The event provided current students with firsthand information on topics such as the college application process, decision-making, financial aid, selecting a major, and the diverse experiences students are having at the college level.

Alumni who participated in the event include:

• Mekhi Bailey from Utica University, pursuing Health & Physical Education.

• Aisha Bailey from Brockport College, studying Social Work & Psychology.

• Lindsey Marinelli from LeMoyne College, pursuing Accounting.

• Sydney Marinelli from St. John Fisher University, studying Nursing.

• Abby Carr from Purdue University, majoring in Botany.

• Caroline Smith from Furman University, studying Political Science.

• Addison Lange from Hobart & William Smith Colleges, studying Forensic Psychology.

• Sam Crosby from Alfred University, pursuing Mechanical Engineering.

• Mac Maher from Mercyhurst University, studying Intelligence Studies.

• Noah Mahunik from Binghamton University, majoring in Biochemistry.

• Colton Hai from Alfred State College, enrolled in Culinary studies.

• Michael Ambroggio from Alfred State College, pursuing Sports Management.

• Steven Ambroggio from Alfred State College, also studying Sports Management.

• Dracen Walter from Cayuga Community College, enrolled in Liberal Arts-Humanities & Social Science.

• Shaliyah Helmick from Fredonia College, studying Social Work.

• Owen Mahunik from Binghamton University, pursuing Mechanical Engineering.

• Mitchell Homick from Yale University, majoring in English.

The program allowed current students to learn about the college experience directly from recent graduates, providing insights into various aspects of college life and studies.

Library finds two old clam bake invitations

The Scranton Public Library’s Reference Department found two invitations for clam bakes in Mayor Robert H. McKune’s papers.
