**Livingston County Recognizes Veteran of the Month**

Livingston County, New York – At their regular meeting today, the Livingston County Board of Supervisors honored Mason Schafer as the Veteran of the Month for January. This recognition highlights Schafer’s dedication and service in the military as well as his contributions to the community.

Senior Airman Mason Schafer is currently serving with the New York Air National Guard’s 174th Attack Wing, based at Hancock Field Air National Guard Base in Syracuse. Since joining the unit in 2014, Schafer has worked as an all-source intelligence analyst, specializing in operations involving the General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper Drones.

In addition to his military service, Schafer is a probation officer with the Livingston County Probation Department, balancing his duties to the nation and his commitment to the local community.
