Juvenile Arrested for Sierra Linda High Threats

A juvenile female linked to threats made against Sierra Linda High School has been arrested by the Phoenix Police Department. The arrest occurred within 24 hours of the incident that caused concern in the West Valley community.

On October 3, 2024, detectives worked continuously to identify and apprehend the student who made the threat. During an interview, the teen admitted to her involvement, explaining that the threat was intended as a joke but escalated beyond her control.

The teen has been booked into the Juvenile Court Center on multiple felony charges, including terroristic threats, computer tampering, and disruption of an educational institution. The Phoenix Police Department has stated a commitment to zero tolerance for this type of behavior.
