On the occasion of Jones Elementary's Community Readers Day 2024, students welcomed several special guests into their classrooms. This annual event took place during National Education Week and emphasized the importance of reading and public education. Among the guests was Naudie, the mascot of the Utica Comets, who shared a favorite book with the students.

The school acknowledged and thanked all the Community Readers for prioritizing their time to promote reading among the classrooms. A photo gallery from the event has been made available for viewing.
