"International Congress Highlights Sustainable Space Initiatives"

Staff Report / Boiselocal.org

The 75th International Astronautical Congress is taking place with the theme "Responsible Space for Sustainability." This event, organized by the International Astronautical Federation, emphasizes a global commitment to leveraging space technology for the benefit of humanity while also preserving the planet's resources.

At Boise State University, Professor David Estrada from the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering is actively contributing to this initiative. Estrada is collaborating with NASA and other international partners to develop the materials and processes necessary for in-space manufacturing of electronics for future space missions.
