This week, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police's Zone 6 Commander Ray Rippole received numerous handmade thank you cards from students at the Carmalt PreK-8 school in Brookline. This gesture followed an emergency response to the school last month, which turned out to be a false alarm.

In response to the incident, police officers from various parts of the city were dispatched to secure the school and ensure the safety of the students for their return the following day. The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police expressed their gratitude for the students' thoughtful cards, stating that the messages brightened their day.
