The YMCA of Fort Worth announced that Amber Garner has been promoted to Senior Program Director in its Youth Achievement Services Branch.
The YMCA said Garner’s work over the past four years included moving from seasonal staff to Program Coordinator, then Program Director, and now Senior Program Director.
According to the YMCA, Garner currently leads its largest Youth Development program and supports 32 School Age Child Care sites. The YMCA said her role affects youth and families each day across the community.
In her expanded role, the YMCA said Garner will provide strategic oversight of its Youth & Government Program. The YMCA also said she will launch six new before-school sites in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD and open two new after-school sites in Azle ISD.
The YMCA said Garner will also guide 13 summer day camp programs across the metro Fort Worth area. The organization said her leadership has helped strengthen partnerships, increase staff retention and satisfaction, and advance its mission to serve more youth each day.
