**Albany County Promotes Physical Activity with New Initiative**

Albany County Executive, in collaboration with the Department of Health, has launched the "Move Your Way Albany County" campaign at Crossgates Mall. The initiative aims to encourage residents to engage in physical activity for at least 150 minutes each week, which equates to about 22 minutes a day. Additionally, participants are encouraged to add two days of muscle-strengthening exercises to their routines.

As part of the program's debut, the Albany County Parks and Recreation Department demonstrated simple ways to integrate physical activity into everyday life. Examples included using canned goods as makeshift weights or performing knee bends with a laundry basket before organizing clothes. Officials highlighted how easy it is to get active, even during daily routines.

County representatives and attendees also walked a mile inside Crossgates Mall to showcase the accessibility of such activities. The demonstration was designed to inspire individuals to incorporate simple exercises like walking into their daily schedules, even while shopping. Vendors were also present at the event, offering informational materials to promote wellness and support the campaign's goals.

This community-focused effort reinforces the importance of regular movement for better health and well-being while making it easy and practical for everyone to participate.
