"Albany Elementary Celebrates Down Syndrome Awareness Month"

October is recognized as Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and teachers at Albany Elementary in Utica, NY, marked the occasion with a special event. Mrs. Fernalld, Mrs. Crabb, and Mrs. Joy organized a day called “Just Down Right Perfect,” aimed at raising awareness about Down syndrome and promoting inclusivity among students.
The event featured various activities and celebrations, engaging students in learning and discussions about the importance of acceptance and understanding. Photos from the day were taken by Ms. Piplica, capturing the highlights of the celebration.
