Binghamton's 65th Annual Columbus Day Parade Celebration

Staff Report / Binghamtonlocal.org

The City of Binghamton will host the 65th Annual Columbus Day Tournament of Marching Bands and Italian Festival on Monday, October 14th, at 10:00 AM. The event aims to celebrate Greater Binghamton's Italian-American heritage.

This year's parade will feature high school marching bands from Binghamton, Chenango Forks, Athens, Williamson, Whitney Point, Union Endicott, and Johnson City. Participants will include Italian student and fraternal organizations, dignitaries, antique cars, fire trucks, and local sports teams.

The high school bands will compete for trophies and prizes in three divisions, judged by the New York State Federation of Contest Judges in categories including Band Performance, Color Guard, and Drum Major.

Attendees can also enjoy traditional Italian food from local vendors and live music performed by Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns. The event encourages community participation and support for local youth.
