OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Police Department says the Federal Aviation Administration has established a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) for drones over the area around Devon Park and the Softball Complex as the College Softball World Series begins.

The TFR covers a 1-nautical-mile radius around Devon Park / the Softball Complex, described as 9 miles east of the Wiley Post VOR. The coordinates are 35°31'29"N, 97°27'49"W.

All unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and drones are prohibited from the ground up to 400 feet within the restricted area.

The restriction is in effect from 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28 through midnight on Friday, June 5.

Any drone operations required for safety, security, or compliance oversight must be coordinated and authorized directly through the law enforcement point of contact prior to takeoff.
