Junior Chef Camp Celebrates Global Culinary Diversity

At the New York Kitchen in Canandaigua, New York, the Junior Chef summer camp recently concluded its program. During the camp, participants explored a variety of international cuisines through hands-on cooking sessions both in the garden and in the kitchen. On the final day of camp, Chef RJ led the campers in preparing recipes that included Rochester’s Garbage Plate and New York City’s black and white cookies, also known as half moon cookies in Utica. Camp organizers reported that the sessions allowed the young chefs to experiment with new dishes and learn about different culinary traditions.
