**Buckeye Firefighters Train Regularly to Maintain Readiness**

The Buckeye Fire-Medical-Rescue Department (BFMRD) is an “all hazards” agency dedicated to responding to a wide variety of emergencies, including fires, medical situations, technical rescues, hazardous materials incidents, and more. To ensure their ability to respond effectively, BFMRD firefighters regularly train to maintain their skills and readiness.

The department emphasized the importance of frequent training to keep up their diverse knowledge, skills, and abilities. This includes activities such as “laying canvas,” a term used to describe specific firefighting training exercises.

Community members are welcome to interact with firefighters during these training sessions. The Buckeye Fire-Medical-Rescue Department encourages residents to stop by and say hello if they see training activities in progress.
