Police Seek Help Identifying Tire Slashing Suspect

Linden, NJ - The Linden Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in recent tire slashing incidents. Over the past week, nearly two dozen vehicles in Linden and Roselle have had their tires slashed.

The suspect is described as a Black or Hispanic man in his 20s, standing between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspect to contact Detective Maria Mercado of the Linden Police Department at (908) 474-8536 or Detective Luis Vega of the Roselle Police Department at (908) 245-9200. Information can also be sent via email to mmercado@lpdnj.org or lvega@rosellepd.com.

Residents can anonymously report information about this incident or any other crime by emailing crimetips@lpdnj.org. The Linden Police Department is collaborating with the Roselle Police Department on this case.
