FDNY Urges Fire Safety for Rosh Hashanah Celebrations

Staff Report / nyclocal.org

As Rosh Hashanah approaches, the New York Fire Department (FDNY) is reminding the community to prioritize fire safety during the Jewish high holidays. Many traditional observances, such as cooking and candle lighting, can elevate the risk of fire and fire-related injuries if safety measures are not taken.

FDNY encourages individuals to implement safety precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones. The department emphasizes the importance of being vigilant during these customary rituals.

The FDNY wishes everyone a Shanah Tovah, or "Good Year."
