New York Releases Updated EMS Education Policy Changes
Staff Report / Uticalocal.org
A new EMS Policy Statement was released today in New York. This policy outlines changes made to the education regulations for emergency medical services. It follows the "protocol change log" previously issued by the Department of Health (DOH) and introduces an "education change log."
This new document serves to clarify significant modifications to the education regulations, which are detailed in 10 NYCRR Part 800.3 through 800.20. The Education Change Log will take effect on June 5, 2024, and is labeled Version 1.1. For more information, you can access the document via the New York State Department of Health website: [Education Change Log](https://www.health.ny.gov/professionals/ems/pdf/24-08.pdf).
