Library Card Sign-up Month Offers Many Resources

Staff Report / Uticalocal.org

The Utica Public Library is celebrating National Library Card Sign-up Month this September, highlighting the variety of resources and services available to the community. The library provides programming for all ages, online databases, and access to museum and park passes for free or discounted admission to local attractions such as Munson and Utica Zoo.

Library cardholders can also download e-books and e-audiobooks for free through the Libby app and enjoy online access to The New York Times. Other offerings include a collection of DVDs for those who prefer watching over reading and databases like Creativebug and Comics Plus, available through the Mid York Library System.

This month is an opportunity for residents to start their journey of lifelong learning by signing up for a library card and taking advantage of the various resources the library has to offer. The library encourages everyone to stop by and explore what they can discover.
